- In 2009 Africa Unlimited (formerly Rainbow Unlimited gmbh) was approached by a number of companies with the request to help set up a professional network in Switzerland for Swiss companies with activities in Africa.
- This led to the creation of the Swiss-African Business Circle, an association that today counts more than 90 member companies including many of the largest Swiss companies with activities in Africa.
- SABC is today the leading independent association in Switzerland promoting business contacts and links between Switzerland and Africa.
